I like to take a nap in the sun, usually at the apex of my hikes. I am looking forward to todays epic hike and napping by the lake!

It’s fucking COLD up here!!!!!

Went exploring to see how far around the lake I could get. Took some shots.

Back at the entry trail to the lake. Taking stock of the pretty stonework and water ripples before heading back down.

Anabrus simplex female AKA Mormon Cricket.

Anabrus simplex female, ovipositing in soil. She is using the big stinger looking thing from previous photo to deposit eggs deep into the soil. You can see it by looking under her belly.

Coming back into the valley and the last mile home is a welcome wind down.
